(seriously shortened) : ... caddis were flying everywhere yesterday ... caught one ... about a size 14 or 12 ... a yellowish orange, wings body, everything... can anyone help.

I believe the most likely candidate is a Long-Horn Sedge (Oecetis). Your specimen would fall in the right size range (8-12 mm.), the right wing/body color range (straw yellow to brown), and the right emergence time range (early-summer through late-fall). This is the best photo of an Oecetis adult that I was able to find on the web:
